グローバルな案件に関わる活躍のチャンス Opportunities for success related to global projects

出身はバングラデシュ。コンピュータ関連の大学を卒業した後、ネットワーク系のサポートエンジニアとして働いていました。チャンスがあれば海外で活躍したいと思い、2008年に来日。日本語学校と工学系の大学院で学んだ後は派遣のエンジニアとして、テストやウェブ制作、ビッグデータなどさまざまなプロジェクトに携わりました。 I'm from Bangladesh. After graduating from a computer-related university, I worked as a network support engineer. I wanted the chance to have an overseas working experience so I came to Japan in 2008. After studying at a Japanese language school and graduating from engineering school (as a dispatch engineer), I was involved in various projects such as testing, web production, and big data.

ロウプにひかれたのは、アメリカやイギリスなど海外の企業との仕事のチャンスがあるからです。また、いろんなプロジェクトが進行していることから、例えばソフト開発だけでなく、クラウドのネットワーク構築など幅の広い仕事ができると思いました。さらにはバングラデシュなど海外のIT事情にも詳しく、何かグローバルな事業と絡めて将来はバングラデシュに貢献できるかもしれない、そう思ったのが入社の理由です。 I was attracted to LOWP because I had the opportunity to work with companies based overseas such as in the United States and the United Kingdom. Also, since various projects are under way, I thought that I could do a wide range of tasks in addition to software development like cloud network construction. My reason for joining the company is to increase my familiarity with international IT protocols so that I might someday be able to link global businesses and contribute to the future of Bangladesh.

インド、イギリス、ドイツとの共同作業 Collaboration with India, UK, and Germany

実際、ロウプに入社して自分がやりたいことができていると感じます。現在の主な仕事は、アメリカのIT企業の日本版ウェブサイトの運用です。日本版といっても、海外も含めたウェブサイト全体はインドにある開発会社が管理しているので、日々インドのメンバーと連携して動く必要があります。また、本国のウェブサイトはページごとに担当者が決まっているため、イギリスやドイツのメンバーの承認が必要なケースもあります。海外とのやり取りは主にメールですが、プロジェクトメンバーが多いことに加えて時差の問題もあるので、当たり前のことですが常にコミュニケーションを取って確認し合うことが大切です。日々「報連相（ホウレンソウ）」を心がけるようにしています。 In fact, I feel I am doing what I want to do after joining LOWP. Currently, my main job is to operate the Japanese version of an American IT company’s website. Even though it is the Japanese version, the entire website is managed by a development company in India. Therefore, it is necessary for me to work in collaboration with engineers in India every day. In some cases, the website has country specific staff members assigned to each page requiring approval from the UK and/or Germany. Although exchanges are mainly via email there is naturally a time difference issue so it is important to always maintain regular communication by checking in with each other. Every day, I prioritize communication.

エンジニアとして、ロウプで働くことの魅力 The appeal of working at LOWP as an engineer

ロウプの良い点は、常にチームで話し合い相談ができる環境があることです。ITの技術に詳しい人が多く、私が関心のあるネットワークのことはもちろん、開発分野にも知見があり、教えてもらうことや勉強になることが多いですね。 The good thing about LOWP is that we always have an environment where we can discuss and consult with our team. There are many people who are familiar with IT technology and I have knowledge in the development field as well as networks that I am interested in.

また、ロウプではVR/ARなど最先端の技術を使ったプロジェクトや、データマーケティングの分野など、エンジニアとして活躍するチャンスが豊富にあります。新しい技術を駆使して開発できる環境だといえるでしょう。 In addition, at LOWP, there are many opportunities to play an active role as an engineer in projects using cutting-edge technologies such as VR / AR and in the field of data marketing. It is an environment in which you can develop by making full use of new technologies.

バングラデシュに貢献するプロジェクトを行いたい I want to do a project that contributes to Bangladesh

日本では多くのことを学んでいますが、いつか私が学んだことをバングラデシュのために役立てたいと思っています。バングラデシュは他国に比べるとテクノロジーの活用が進んでおらず、例えば電子マネーや交通ICカードの普及もまだまだです。IT人材を育てる体制は整ってきていますが、エンジニアが働く企業がそもそも育っていないため、海外で働くことを選ぶ人が多いのです。私はそうしたエンジニアたちが活躍できるようなサポートがしたい。そのためには日本で学んだ技術をバングラデシュに普及させること。そうすることでエンジニアが活躍できる環境が育つと考えています。将来はバングラデシュに貢献できるようなプロジェクトを実行したい、ロウプでなら実現可能だと思っています。 I have learned a lot in Japan, but someday I would like to use what I have learned to help my home country Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, the utilization of technology is not as advanced as in other countries. For example, electronic money and transportation IC cards are still not commonly used. Although the system for fostering IT human resources is in place, many companies choose to work overseas because the companies that engineers work on have not developed. I want to support such engineers so that they can have the opportunity to make an impact. To do so, I aim to disseminate the technology I’ve learned in Japan to the people of Bangladesh. By doing so, I believe that it will foster an environment where engineers can thrive. I want to carry out a project that can contribute to Bangladesh in the future, and I think it is possible with LOWP...
